PRODUCT INFOAll of Fingerprints jewellery is created from pure silver (99.9%). Each item has been individually handcrafted to make a truly unique piece. They are then on request stamped with a pure silver stamp marking (FS999) and finished with solid sterling silver fittings made and designed here in New Zealand (unless otherwise stated). Our jewellery is made from a product called Art Clay Silver ™ which allows fingerprints, hand and footprints and drawing impressions to be taken or transferred on to a piece of jewellery, then fired in a kiln to form pure silver. Art Clay Silver™ is a water-based clay made of pure silver powder, water and a non-toxic organic binding agent. The silver has been extracted from old film stock and negatives making the Art Clay Silver™ a totally organic and recycled product. No two pieces look exactly the same, unlike mass machine produced jewellery each of Fingerprints pieces has its own unique look*, which one would expect from an organic, handcrafted item. * Items do not have the 100% perfect finish that machine manufactured jewellery has, each individual pendant has its own unique characteristics. |
